Your Statutory Rights
As a consumer making an online purchase, you have the right to cancel your booking within 14 days of the date of purchase under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (the "CCR"). This statutory right sits alongside the refund schedule below. Full details, including the regulation 36 mechanism that applies when the Event falls within the 14-day Cooling-Off Period, are set out in Section 4 of our Terms and Conditions.
Where the statutory right gives you a more generous outcome than the schedule below, the statutory right takes precedence.
Worked example
If you book seven days before the Event:
- The schedule below would offer a 50% refund.
- You are still within the 14-day Cooling-Off Period. Provided you have not given express consent for performance to begin during that period (regulation 36) and the Event has not yet started, your statutory right entitles you to a full refund.
- You receive the full refund.
Regulation 36: Events within the Cooling-Off Period
Where the Event is scheduled during your 14-day Cooling-Off Period, we can only supply the service with your express consent that performance may begin before the period ends, together with your acknowledgement that you will lose your right to cancel once the Event has been fully performed. You give that consent by ticking the box at checkout. If you do not tick that box, we will not begin performance until your Cooling-Off Period has expired, and you may cancel for a full refund up to that point.
If you give that consent and then cancel before the Event begins, you will receive a refund less a proportionate amount reflecting the service we have already provided (e.g. account set-up, webinar registration). Once the Event has been fully performed, your right to cancel under regulation 36 ends.
Our Refund Policy
More than 7 days before the Event
You may cancel your booking and receive a full refund.
Between 7 days and 48 hours before the Event
You may cancel your booking and receive a 50% refund. This reflects the costs already committed to delivering the Event.
Less than 48 hours before the Event
No refund will be issued. However, you will receive full access to session recordings via the attendee portal for 90 days from the actual delivered Event date.
Non-attendance
If you hold a valid ticket but do not attend the Event on the day, no refund will be issued. You will still receive access to session recordings via the attendee portal.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please email info@aipsychology.co.uk with:
- Your name
- The email address used for your booking
- Your reason for cancellation (optional, but helpful)
We will acknowledge your request within 2 working days. Approved refunds will be processed within 14 days to the original payment method (via Stripe).
If We Cancel or Postpone the Event
Cancellation by us
If we cancel the Event for any reason, including circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g. third-party platform failure, force majeure), you will receive a full refund regardless of when the cancellation occurs. The limitation of liability in Section 11 of our Terms and Conditions caps damages but does not extinguish this refund right.
Postponement
If we postpone the Event to a new date, your ticket will remain valid for the rescheduled date. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, you may request a full refund within 14 days of being notified of the new date.
Changes to the Programme
We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the Event programme, including changes to speakers, session topics, or timings. Such changes do not constitute grounds for a refund, provided the Event remains substantially as described.
Ticket Transfers
If you are unable to attend but would prefer to transfer your ticket to a colleague rather than request a refund, you may do so by emailing info@aipsychology.co.uk with the new attendee's full name and email address up to 48 hours before the Event begins. No approval is required.
